- Unique Partnership to boost dine-in payment experience for customers and increase table turnover to F&B outlets
04 August 2022; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: FOODICS, the leading cloud-based restaurant management technology and payments platform in the MENA region, has partnered with Qlub – the leading startup for ultrafast table payments in restaurants.
The seamless integration between Foodics’ point of sale system with Qlub’s instantaneous payment platform will enable all restaurants to offer the fastest table self-checkout experience for their customers by simply scanning a QR code on the table with their phone – even without an app or any registration. Customers can easily split the bill with their friends and pay the bill with Apple Pay, Credit Card or in installments (“Eat Now Pay Later”).
Restaurant owners can provide a state of the art table payment experience to their customers while at the same time saving time – on average 15 minutes per table – resulting in a higher table turnover. Tips turn out up to 100% higher from happier customers who are 7x more likely to leave a positive review on Google than before.
Both companies recently closed major funding rounds with Foodics announcing the largest SaaS Series C round in the MENA region with a whopping 170m USD while Qlub announced the largest seed round in the MENA region of 17m USD.
Foodics is the dominant Restaurant-tech provider across MENA, and especially in its home market of KSA, where it serves over 35% of outlets, whilst Qlub serves 1000 venues.
“We’re always looking to enrich our marketplace with advanced solutions that will enhance the customer experience in the F&B industry and allow our customers (F&B business owners) to unlock their growth potential. Our partnership with Qlub will enrich the customer experience by speeding up table checkouts in the dine-in landscape” said Djamel Mohand, Foodics COO.
“Partnering with Foodics sets a new milestone for Qlub and will be fundamental to bring the Qlub experience to as many customers as possible in MENA. Sharing the same mission, we aim to empower restaurant owners with innovative technology to provide the best experience for their customers. This partnership will further enable Qlub to play a leading role in the F&B payment sector” said Eyad Alkassar, Qlub Co-Founder and CEO.
Whilst Foodics closed its series C in April this year, Qlub is currently fundraising for its series A.
